EDWARD A., 82, of Sea Isle City NJ, formerly of Philadelphia and Glenside, on July 27, 2011. Son of the late Charles and Agnes (nee McHoul) McGovern; Husband of Rose (nee Russo); Father of Caroline (John) McCarus and Edward McGovern; Brother of Dorothy Blob; and grandfather of 4; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass, Aug. 1, at 11 A.M., St. Joseph Church, 44th St. and Landis Ave., Sea Isle City. Viewing on Sunday from 6 to 8 P.M., RADZIETA FUNERAL HOME, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House NJ. Burial Cape May Co. Vet. Cem.

Dear McGovern Famlly,I am deeply sadened to learn of Ed. I first met him when he was president of the United Rebublican Club in the Kensington section of Phladelphia. I stopped by his house a few years back in Sea Isle and we talked for hours. I will sorely miss him. Billy Pantalone

Please accept my sincerest sympathy for your loss. I have such fond memories of growing up living next door to your family. Mr. McGovern was always such a cheerful, funny and kind man. I know you will miss him, but he is watching you all from above and will never leave your hearts.
