EVELYN GORDON on Aug. 29, 2016, age 89, of Lafayette Hill, PA, formerly of Mt. Laurel and Bellmawr, NJ. Beloved wife of the late Charles C.; loving mother of Karen Anderson (Suzanne Brennan) and the late Charlie. Also, survived by 4 nephews, one niece and her dedicated caregiver and friend Valdez.
Eve Anderson proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, and remained active in the Women Marines Association for many years. During her twenty year tenure at Rutgers Law School in Camden, she was promoted to the Assistant Dean of Place-ment. Eve found this role deeply gratifying as it afforded her many opportunities to help young lawyers successfully gain entrée into their field. After her "retirement" from Rutgers, Eve accepted a position as librarian and receptionist at Earp Cohen Law Firm in Cherry Hill. In her time at the firm, she displayed her characteristic sense of duty and style, and was always generous in dispensing relation-ship and fashion advice to her beloved co-workers. Additionally, she volunteered for many years at the Phila. Art Museum. All who knew Eve remember her as someone who greatly loved her family, world travel, gift shopping and, her wily cat Savannah.
Mrs. Anderson's Mass of Christian Burial will on Tuesday, December 20th at 10:45 A.M. in the Chapel at Arlington National Cemetery and her burial will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Anderson's name may be made to the Women Marines Assn.
