Guillermo Hernandez, Jr.

1947 - 2017

Guillermo H. Hernandez entered into Heaven on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the age of 70 years. He was born to Guillermo and Juanita Hernandez on November 15, 1947 in Brownsville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Daniel and Desidero. He is survived by his loving wife Maria Irma Hernandez and their children Guillermo Hernandez III, Richard Hernandez, Michael Hernandez and James Eric Hernandez. Guillermo also leaves behind his grandchildren Cassandra Monique, Emerald Leean and James Eric, Jr. and siblings Oscar, Mary Helen, Yolanda, Rudy, Freddy, Edward, Gerald and Larry.

Guillermo accomplished many things throughout his life, after working with SAWS for 30 years, he dedicated his talent as a musician to the church. He was a self taught bassist, guitarist and in his later years, was learning the piano and trumpet. He was an excellent Mariachi and loved fishing, softball and working on vehicles. His sons could always count on him for help. He will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him.

His family will be receiving visitors on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Heritage Oaks Mortuary from 5:00pm-9:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will conclude in the chapel
