REV. JOHN C. DOUGHERTY, Oct. 5, 2003, of Villa St. Joseph, Darby, PA., formerly of St. Callistus Church, Phila., St. Bartholomew Church, Phila., St. Luke the Evangelist, Glenside and St. Cecilia Church, Fox Chase, PA., son of the late John C. and Hannah Gallagher Dougherty, survived by sister-in-law Dolores Dougherty, nieces Cecelia Rudd, Agnes Dougherty, Hannah Campbell,, Elizabeth Moore, Patricia Griffith and Tina Boland, nephews John Murphy, Joseph Boland, Michael Dougherty, John Dougherty, Chip Boland and Stephen Dougherty; also survived by numerous grand nieces and grand nephews. The Reverend Clergy, relatives and friends are invited to his Concelebrated Funeral Mass with His Excellency Archbishop Justin Rigali as the Principal Concelebrant Fri., Oct. 10 at 10 A.M. St. Callistus Church, 700 N. 67th. St., Phila., PA. Transferral from the rectory to the Church Thurs., Oct. 9, 4 P.M. for his Viewing until Parish Mass at 7:30 P.M. Int. Holy Cross Cem. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Charles Borromeo Seminary Scholarship Fund, 100 E. Wynnewood, Rd., Wynnewood, PA. 19096.

Father Dougherty was a great man, a truly dedicated Priest. He was a role model for how life should be lived. We will miss him greatly at St. Callistus. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family whom he loved dearly!
