Joseph Roman Obituary

ROMAN
JOSEPH, on May 30, 2003, of Laurel Springs, age 85, loving husband of the late Clara, beloved father of Joanne Schwarzwalder of Lindenwold, grandfather of Janet, Joseph (Debbie), Jean and Julie, great grandchildren Holly, Jason and Emma, survived by one sister Anna Stingle, 2 brothers Vincent Romano and Tony Romano, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Roman is a member of the American Legion, he is a decorated WWII Veteran, Recepient of the American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars, WWII Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Participated in battles and campaigns GO 33 and 40 WD 45, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. Received personal commendation from President Harry Truman. Relatives and friends of the family invited to attend the Viewing and Funeral on Wed. at 10 A.M. at THE DANKS-HINSKI FUNERAL HOME, White Horse Pike at South Ave., Lindewold. Mass of Christian Burial 11 A.M. from St. Lawrence Church, Lindenwold. Int. Gate of Heaven Cem., Berlin. Family requests in lieu of flowers donations made to St. Lawrence would be appreciated.
