DORA BOWMAN Obituary
Dora (Echo) is preceded in death by her parents; Edward and Virginia Harrison Bowman; brothers Edward "Eddie" Bowman Jr. , Wilfred-Bowman, Everett Bowman and Solomon "Rudy" Bowman.
Dora is survived by her sons, Daniel Anderson and partner, Rebecca Wright; grandson, Daniel Anderson, Jr.; granddaughter, Jocelyn; son, Tom Karakolos and family of Cresswell, OR; sister, Cecilia Fields and daughter, April; brother, Gene Bowman. She is also survived by first cousins, Alvin E. Bowman Jr., Barbara (Robert) Bowman Mora Jr., Patricia (Toney) Bowman Whitehorse of Shiprock, N.M.; Charlene (Robert) Bowman Redner, Rena(Elbe) Bowman Brown, Eugenia (Elwynn) Bowman Lomaintewa; nieces, Star S. Narcomey, Amanda S. Narcomey, Twyla Sepsey, Bryanna C. Kee, Tamara Skeets, Nichole Lomaintewa, Janette S. Rock, Jade Whiteside; nephews, Everett Bowman, Raimundo S. Huarte, Gabriel Neboyia, Garrett E. Neboyia and Elwynn Lomaintewa III and many more relatives in Arizona and New Mexico.
During Dora's (Echo) young adult life she was a radio disc jockey in Alaska. Later she moved to central California where the owned and operated a Highway construction company, all while raising her family with care and love.
She came back to Bishop in 2004 to live in retirement, she was best known for her kindness, sociability and sparkling personality.
Celebration Of Life is scheduled for Saturday, August 25 at 11 a.m. at the Bishop Barlow Lane Gym with luncheon /potluck to follow at same site. Interment will be private.
