Jennifer Jane Owen Jennifer Jane Owen passed away August 12, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born in Hollywood, Ireland to William and Anne Owen. Jane is survived by her sister Paddy Fisher and husband Jeffrey (Tarrytown, NY) and her twin brother Nick Owen and wife Gilda (Harbor Island, SC). Jane was raised in Sierra Madre, California, attended Passadena High School (1969) and received her BA from California State College, Fullerton. Her primary career was business accounting. In 1989, Jane, and her late husband Richard "Dick" Goldman, arrived in Beaufort and opened Dick and Jane's Dog Spot eatery on Lady's Island. Jane remained in Beaufort after Dick's death in 1992 and worked at Beaufort Academy and Beaufort County Treasurer's Office. During her final days, Jane was surrounded by her family and the wonderful, caring staffs of Helena Place of Port Royal and Friends of Caroline Hospice. Jane's funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family would graciously request that donations in memory of Jane be made to Friends of Caroline Hospice, 1110 13th Street, Port Royal, SC 29935. Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
