Lynn, MA - George T. Drew, age 91, of Lynn, died on Monday, June 7, 2021 at North Shore Medical Center, Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Teresa P. (Flynn) Drew with whom he shared over 54 years of marriage and predeceased him in 2019. Born in Lynn in 1929, he was the son of the late Harry C. and Lillian A. (Primeau) Drew. He was raised and educated in Lynn and attended Lynn Classical High School. George enlisted in the United States Navy in 1947, served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1951. He worked for the Lynn Fire Department for over 30 years, retiring in 1992 as a Captain and was a proud member of the Lynn Firefighters Local 739 Union. He was an excellent cook that had his own customized recipes for many dishes and was a handyman around the house always working on different home improvement projects. He coached West Lynn Little League. , He enjoyed traveling and genealogy and often combined the two into trips to Georgia, Canada and Ireland. Above all, George loved spending time with his family.

George is survived by his loving children, George P. Drew and his wife Debbie of Methuen, Sean P. Drew of Waltham, Kathleen M. DiCenso and her husband David of Marblehead, Brendan F. Drew and his wife Oksana of Hancock, NH, Michael W. Drew of Beverly and Mary R. McDermott and her husband Ryan of Melrose; his adoring grandchildren, Declan, Patrick, John, Erin, Kathryn, Matthew, John, Abigail, Sarah, Jack and Emma; his brother Harry Drew of Beverly and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, dear friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his brothers, William, Raymond, Paul and his sister, Rita.

Service Information: A Funeral will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt.129) at 9:30a.m., Lynn followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Lynn at 10:30a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn.
