Frances Walsh Obituary

Frances Walsh Frances Walsh passed away at home at the age of 102 on March 29th, 2008. Frances was born April 16, 1905 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Joseph and Georgia Walsh. Frances had worked in the drafting field during World War II at various aerospace companies in the Delaware Valley. Her draf ting career eventually led her to work for the City of Philadelphia's Water Department until she retired after 25 years. After retiring, Frances moved to California living in Pasadena and Glendale, then Alta Loma for several years at Rudolph Hendickson until 1997. Since then, she had resided with her granddaughter, Celeste and husband William Kirk. Frances is survived by her daughter Meriem Franz, granddaughter Celeste Kirk, grandson Peter G. Fichera and great-granddaughter Leigh Kirk. She was preceded in death by her son A. Thomas Fichera and brothers James and Joseph Walsh. Frances found great joy with her family and appreciated all the beautiful things in life. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends. Services will be Saturday April 5th at Todd Memorial Chapel, 325 N. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont at 1:30 PM, burial following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Covina Hills.
