Lois Marie Hilarides

1935 - 2019

April 16, 1935 - January 2, 2019 Lois was born in Fairview, South Dakota, to Rev. H.J. and Evva (Van Wyk) Aberson on April 16, 1935. She moved with her family to Rock Valley, Iowa, at the age of six weeks. Her family moved to Artesia, California, when she was 12. She attended Bellflower Christian School, and graduated in June 1952. She worked as a bookkeeper in one of the local banks in Bellflower until she was married. Lois and Frank married on June 16, 1954. There were four children born to them: Rob (Jeannie) of Visalia, Ellen (Daryl Koops) of Ontario, Larry (Cindy) of Tulare, and Mary Beth (Mike Chrisman) of Ontario, and they were blessed with thirteen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lauren Koops-Beyenhof, and grandson, Gregory Hilarides. She is survived by her husband, Frank, four children and their spouses, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, sisters Bernice Visser of Visalia and Janice Auman of Artesia, many nieces and nephews. Lois loved God, Jesus her Savior, her church, and her family. A memorial service will be held on January 19, 2019 at CrossPoint Church in Chino.
