Thomas Wilson

UPLAND - Thomas Wilson, 66, of Upland died Oct. 24, 2002, at home. He was born Aug. 13, 1936, in Tampa, Fla., and was a resident of Pomona and Upland for 34 years. After 25 years he retired in June of 2000 from the Pomona Unified School District where he was employed as a special education teacher. He earned both his Bachelor's and his Master's degrees in education from California State University at Fullerton. He w as a veteran of the U.S. Army who enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and football. He coached the football team at Claremont High School for 16 years. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Nancy Ann Wilson; two daughters, Tona Monet and Lillian Arianna-Jeniao; son, Jospeh Resse and his wife, Adrienne; four sisters; three brothers; and four grandchildren, Amber, Ashlee, Tana and Tiana. Graveside services will be held at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 V an Buren, Riverside, Calif. 92518. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Thomas' name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
