ERASMO APODACA "MITO" MENDIZABAL

1970 - 2021

Erasmo "Mito" Apodaca was born on July 18, 1970 in Mexicali Baja California, Mexico. On May 22, 2021, at the age of 50, he passed away unexpectedly at home due to heart failure. Erasmo served on active duty in the US. Marine Corps from June 21, 1989 to January 30, 1992 during the Operation Desert Shield/ Desert Storm. During this time, Erasmo Apodaca worked as a motor vehicle operator in the Artillery Division, B 1/11, and was a canon hauler. He received a number of accolades for his service and was discharged under honorable conditions. After Erasmos deployment, he returned home to his family and obtained a bachelors degree in International Business from Centro Universitario de Tijuana and got Certified as an External Capacitator. He routinely attended mass with his family and was a member of the Seminario Diocesano de Mexicali Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, parents, siblings, four children, and grandson. We are thankful to God for blessing us with him for 50 years of his life. He listened without judgement, spoke without prejudice, helped without entitlement, understood without pretension, and loved without condition. May God give Mito Apodaca, eternal peace. Amen.
