Jose Timoteo Quezada, 101 years old, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, in El Centro with family by his side. He was born on August 28, 1923, in San Juan de Los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico, to Apolonio and Micaela de Quezada.
A proud resident of Brawley, CA, he worked tirelessly as a farm laborer from 1952 to 1985 at the Elmore Ranch on Highway 86 near Highway 78. He was married to Belen Limon. Timo was a respectful, smart, loving husband, father, and abuelo. He always had a unique way of making anyone smile.
He is survived by his three daughters, Maria Auxilio (Refugio) DeAlba, Dolores Castaneda, and Amparo (Isidro) Solorzano; as well as his four sons, Ruben, Salvador (Frances), Reyes (Cynthia), and Efrain (Angelica); along with 20 grandchildren, 26 great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Timo was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, his wife, Belen, and two children, Raymundo and Baudelio.
Family, friends, and others are invited to Frye Chapel, 700 S. Brawley Ave., in Brawley from 8 to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025, for the viewing and Rosary. The Mass will be held on the same day at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 620 S. Cesar Chavez St., in Brawley, followed by his burial at Riverview Cemetery, 4700 Hovley Rd., Brawley, CA.
