SANDRA JO ALFORD
Oct. 5, 1934 - June 10, 2010
Sandra Jo Alford, age 75, passed away June 10th after her courageous battle with cancer for over two years.
Sandy was born in Missouri Valley, Iowa. She came to the Imperial Valley at age 17, where she met Michael Aaron Alford and married in 1953.
Sandy was a bank teller for over 30 years. She enjoyed volunteering for various causes over the years however she was most proud of being a "Pink Lady" for El Centro Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed being "Grandma" to six grandchildren and three great grand children, and aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Parish. In her pastime, Sandy also enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends and walking.
Sandy was preceded in death by husband, Michael and sons Thomas Aaron and Michael Troy. Survivors include son Timothy Alford and Donna of Crestline, CA, Anthony Alford and Shelley of Vancouver, WA, Daughter Patricia Irene of El Centro, and Sister Cynthia Miller of Crestline, CA.
Services will be held June 19th, at St. Mary's Parish at 12 p.m.

To, Tim. Tony, Patti & Cynthia,I am sorry for the emptiness you will feel having lost your mom and sister. She touched a lot of lives in a special way and made a difference to everyone that knew her. I have lots of good memories that I will never forget.
