Karen Carey Obituary
Cedar Grove, TN - Funeral services for Mrs. Karen Lynn Carey, age 54, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at Abundant Life Family Worship Center in Cedar Grove, with Brother Dwayne Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery near Medina, TN, with Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Carey died June 15, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.
She was born in Memphis, TN, daughter of the late Thomas Lee and Zoda Jane Gaines Smith, and was a graduate of Munford, TN High School. Mrs. Carey lived in Atoka, TN for several years and moved to Cedar Grove in 1981 to make her home. She was a member of Abundant Life Family Worship Center.
She leaves two sons, Mark Anthony Carey, Jr. and wife Brooklyn of Cedar Grove, TN, and Chris Carey of Texas; four sisters, Jane Nivens, Becky McIntosh, Sally Howell and Debbie Van Palt; two brothers, Larry Howell and Tommy Smith, Jr. and three grandchildren, Kaley Lynn Carey, Dylan Carey and James Surratt.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
