Linda Lee (Trout) Johnson, 76

Linda Lee (Trout) Johnson, 76, of West Point, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Heritage Healthcare.

Born October 25, 1939 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Garland and Opal (Luse) Trout and a 1958 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. Linda went on to obtain her bachelor's degree from Purdue University.

Her first marriage was to John Schultz and he preceded her in death. She then married Roy Johnson and they later divorced.

Linda was a bookkeeper with Cary Home and also served as a substitute teacher. She was a member of West Point Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo, visiting and talking with people, and she loved dogs, especially her chihuahuas.

She is survived by her children, Randy (Lisa) Johnson of Brownsburg, and Kim (Bill) Bowsher of West Point; sister, Karen (Tim) Macy of West Point; and 4 grandchildren. Josh (Caitlin) Bowsher, Lauren Johnson, Robbin Johnson, and Rylan Johnson; and niece Lori (Jake) Griffiths of Maryland.

I always looked forward to seeing Linda at our class of "58 Reunions. Know life was a struggle for her these last years. I would see her in the halls at Heritage Healthcare and she never lost her smile, was always glad to see you.

Randy, Kim and family,
Sorry to hear of your mom passing. She sure was a nice person to all of us kids who probably pushed her nerves to the extremes when we were all young. She did a lot to help us all out and tried to make each one of us a better person and in some cases succeeded. May she rest in peace with the Lord Jesus Christ.
