Larry Neil Mooring, 74, of Maynard, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at St. Bernard’s Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, and throughout his life, he was known for his kindness, humor, and generous spirit.
Larry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. His sense of duty and integrity carried through every part of his life. After his service, Larry continued to touch the lives of others through his compassion, quick wit, and endless curiosity about the world around him.
He had a lifelong love for animals and shared his home with many beloved cats and dogs over the years. Larry was also fascinated by space and science, loved to read a good book, and had a deep appreciation for jazz music. During the holidays, he brought joy to countless children and families by portraying Santa Claus at Walmart — a role he cherished and took great pride in.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Webber Mooring Sr. and Dolly Rosie Mooring; his sisters, Nina Ruth Beuttenmuller, Marilyn Ann Mooring, and Joyce Marie Mooring; and his brother, James Webber Mooring Jr.
