Teddy Combs Obituary
Born in Pittsfield, Mass., on Nov. 20, 1940, he was the son of the late Frank Calvin Combs and Anna Irene (Furey) Combs. Teddy worked as a mold maker for ABAPGT Inc., in Manchester for over 50 years. He was a food and wine enthusiast. Teddy was a devoted husband and family man who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends.
Besides his beloved wife he leaves a son, Allan E. Archibald III, and his wife, Jennifer Blair Archibald of Marshfield, Mass., a daughter, April E. Archibald, and her fiancée, John Donnelly, of Bangor, Maine. Teddy was grandfather to Allan E. Archibald IV and Isabella Catherine Blair Archibald. He also was the lifelong friend of Kenny Nadeau and Stephanie Dias both of Connecticut.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Hambly Funeral Home, 30 Red Cross Ave., Newport, RI 02840. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Middletown Fire and Rescue, Wyatt Road, Middletown, RI 02842

My heartfelt sympathies to Susan and all of Teddy's family. He was a very special man and I will cherish my memories of times spent with him. His compassion, generosity and gentle spirit will always be remembered.

It is with deep sadness that we learn of Ted's passing. His heart was as big as he was, and always an upbeat way of approaching life, despite all of the challenges that he faced. We will dearly miss him. Our hearts also go out to Susan in this difficult time.
