Edward Rank Obituary

Edward Rank MOUNT PLEASANT – Age 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. A son of the late Edward Sr. and Anna (Lilly) Rank, he was born on May 20, 1932, in Laona, Wisconsin. For many years Edward worked as a tool and die maker for John Oster Manufacturing Company and Quadra Inc. Edward was a long time member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Racine. He loved to tinker in his garage with his machines. He had the ability to create anything from toys to mechanical parts for others. Edward loved to feed the animals and also enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing. Surviving are his children: Janice, Larry (Elo), Jim (Char), Nancy, Kenny, Dale (Janice), Diane (Jim), Carol (Michael); sisters: Delores (Glen) Peterson, and Rose Lynn; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edward is preceded in death by his brothers and sister: Leonard, Robert (Bud), and Bernice; and niece and nephew: Joy and Todd. Funeral services will be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Warren Williams officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be designated in Ed’s name to the family, who will establish a memorial at a later date. Condolences made be expressed at www.wilson funeralhomeinc.com. The family would like to give special thanks to Wheaton Franciscan Hospice, and Laurie from Aurora Palliative Care for their compassionate care.
