Karen L. Webb (Nelson)

RACINE - Karen L. Webb, 76, of Racine, passed away at Hospice Alliance in Pleasant Prairie on June 4, 2024 after a courageous 3 year battle with Melanoma cancer. Karen was born in Wakefield, Michigan on July 10, 1947 to Loren and Alvera Nelson. Karen's family moved to Rockwell City, Iowa where she graduated from Rockwell City High School in 1965. On November 25, 1967, Karen married the love of her life, Jack Webb in Rockwell City. Karen and Jack have resided in Racine since 1969, living in the same house for 50 years. Karen was a wife, a mom, a homemaker and an avid volunteer, supporting Racine Children's Theatre, The Racine Zoo, Catholic Junior League and volunteering as a classroom mom/helper at Racine Unified School District. Her children's friends saw Karen as one of the cool moms and there were always lots of kids at the house. Karen retired from Mannheim Milwaukee Auto Auction at the end of 2014.
Karen is survived by her husband of fifty six years, Jack; sisters: Barb Halda, Raenette Lindaman; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by both of her children, Stephanie in 2018 and Michael in 2023.
A private memorial service is being planned for later in Rockwell City, Iowa where she will be laid to rest with Stephanie and Michael at Rose Hill Cemetery.
