Dick was a good guy, a real nice guy. One good memory I have is of sitting at Dunkin Donuts. Dick walked in and I talked him into sitting and having a cup of coffee with me. We talked for a good 20 minutes when he finally said, "Well, I better go, my wife's sitting in the truck."

Worked with Dick at Station 5 & Station 6. Dick always saw the lighter side of things; it was a pleasure working with him. I only found out a year ago he had a vacation home about a mile from my home, and missed his last visit by less than an hour..

I WORKED WITH DICK ON THE RACINE FIRE DEPT. HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND THAT I LOST CONTACT WITH AND OFTEN THOUGHT OF HIM. I STILL HAVE A CARICATURE DRAWING OF MYSELF THAT HE DREW OF ME SITTING AT THE SWITCHBOARD AT WHAT WAS THE MAIN STATION AT THE TIME (1960's STATION #5 THEN). MY SYMPATHIES TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
