I have not known George that long. In fact, I was surprised by the many things he did with his life as described in the obit. The main thing I loved and will always remember about George is his alertness and presence at all times. Even in his illness, he was still socializing with others and definitely minimizing to himself and others his view of the profundity of his own loss. A strong faith seemed to drive him, as well as a fundamental kindness. Marge, the people of St Paul's are there for you. You and your children will be in our family's prayers

What do you say for someone so loved by so many. From the time I was a little boy to now as an adult he was a role model, someone to respect, admire, and love. I remember when we were little him picking us up and putting us on his shoulders and the so many family get togethers where he did his best to make sure he talked to everyone and always with kind words or some sort of words of wisdom. Our loss is now heavens gain and now he is at peace with his sisters and his daughter Barb who was cut from the same cloth.
