Dear Heimsoth Family,

I am so sorry that I did not have the opportunity to know Jerry. Many have said what a wonderful man he was - a special servant of the Lord.

My children attend Martin Luther...and I work with Diana Bartholomew and Chad Kogutkiewicz at Hales Corners...each of them was touched by Jerry and your family in a special way.

May God provide you with those who will be His arms of love at this difficult time. We will continue to lift your family up in prayer at HCLS.

In His love,
Dan, Amy, Kayla and Zachary Kutz

Heimsoth family:

It makes me sad to think of the loss to our earthly family of Jerry's passing, but it makes me want to sing praises to know that he is free of the Parkinsons and with our Lord.

I'll never forget the chance to have Jerry as my teacher. I'm glad my kids got to interact with him as well during the kindergarten friends program. We have all been blessed through his work and caring life.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

The promise our Savior gave to his disciples in Matt. 28 where He said "I will be with you always" also belongs to you especially at this time as Jerry leaves you to go "home." May this be your comfort in the days ahead.

Our thoughts and prayers with Mrs Heimsoth Kristy and John.
I had fond memories of Mr H. He was a great teacher and helped me after school. He also helped my husband Steve with confirmation and both Mrs Heimsoth and Mr H were his sponsors when Steve was confirmed. He explained things to Steve and we enjoyed being with Mr. H learning about the teachings of our church. He loved to tease us about the Bears success in the 1980's vs the Packers and current success with the Cubs vs Brewers.
We will miss him! We know he is with the Lord and free of the Parkinson and with him forever!

My heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved Jerry. We've been out of touch for many years as life took us in different directions, but I still have warm memories of those first years after college when we began teaching together at St. Paul's. As Jerry has now run ahead of me into the Kingdom, I shall look forward to our heavenly reunion.

The year was 2002, my Fiance was not a member of St. Paul's and I was, we decided to go thru the conformation classes together. We felt nervous about it, I more than He and when we got to the offfice, and met with our instructor I was pleased to met Jerry. I had seen Him before during services but had not ever spoke to Him. The meetings that we had on a weekly basis were so confortable that I was put at ease and I truly learned more the second time around going thru the classes with Jerry as our "Professor". That is how I will always think of Jerry as the "Professor" as He taught with Love and understanding. We consider having that time and learning from Jerry an honor.Jerry was a true and faithful servant of the Lord and will be greatly missed.
Our thoughts are with you always.

Jerry touched many lives being the inspirational teacher that he was. He was a wonderful example of how we are all supposed to live our lives for our Lord. We will miss him dearly, but know that he is with our Lord, who says "WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT."

Dear Heimsoth Family~~

From Matthew 28:5 "The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: "He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him." Now I have told you.'"

And from Ephesians 1:18-20
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who continually believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.

I will always treasure the week at Camp LuWiSoMo with Mr. Heimsoth in 1978!

Goodbye Jerry,

Jerry, I just got the email from Mary that you left us and went to see Jesus...Good for you, Jerry! You are with Him!! We are not!!

But, you left us with a great hole in our lives that you are not filling anymore. Jerry, we miss you already!! Maybe we are selfish, because you are way better off now ...out of the wheel chair and able to see, walk, wave your arms, smile broadly, swallow, sing praises to our Lord!!

You were our inspiration. You kept your faith and trust in your (our) Jesus. You suffered but bore your Parkinsons cross with dignity. I was lucky and blessed to be among those called to see you for lunch at the nursing home. I met your friends and kept you company and enjoyed the time that we spent together. You accepted what life dished out to you and still praised and blessed your Lord.

Now, you are gone. You know and can see that you are loved and will be sorely missed by your immediate family but also by your church family from St. Paul's. Goodbye good friend, don't think that I am silly if I cry. See you around....
