Deepest sympathy to your family. Officer Michalski was certainly a man of integrity and great faith. He was such a great role model. If we could all be like him this world would be a much better place. Watched his testimony which proves he is enjoying the splendors of heaven with our Lord. He was greeted with "well done my good and faithful servant." He is alive and well at this very moment. Your hearts are broken at such a great loss as he is not physically among us anymore. My heart aches for your grief. Absent from the body, present with the Lord. In heaven a thousand years is a second, but here on earth when we lose someone we love a second seems like a thousand years. You WILL see him again someday for all eternity. He will turn around and it will be like only one second has passed. May God continue to comfort you and give you peace during this most difficult time.

I did not know Mike Michalski but he sure was an amazing person, roll model, mentor and very passionate about this career. I will be thinking of all the family members as they go through such a difficult time and loss of someone's presence that will be so missed. This city is going to be hurting for a longtime and hopefully something good will come of this what Mike was always trying to teach to others. To Officer Michalski's family and friends. I'm so sorry for your loss, there are no words that can take the emptiness and hurt away. Have faith in the Lord. I never met Michael though I wish I had. My son is a Deputy and there isn't a day that passes that I don't ask our savior Jesus Christ to watch over him. Now, I know I have someone else watching over him as well, I'm sure Michael is their new angel. My Christ be with you today and every day, In Jesus name we pray.

Words can not express how very sorry I am for the loss of your Soul Mate, Father, Brother and Family member. You have been in my heart and in my prayers all week as well as today and everyday. I have cried all day and have kept you all close to my heart. Just know that Michael touched so many hearts and saved and protected so many lives and made us always feel safe and he will always remain watching over and protecting us from heaven. MY HAVING SPENT OVER 18 YEARS, AS A PROUD FORMER MILWAUKEE POLICE OFFICER, COMING FROM THE BROADCASTING COMMUNITY, CHANNEL 10 & 6, 38 YEARS AGO, AND RETURNING TO BROADCASTING, BUT IN THE CLIMATE OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA STILL READ THE JOURNAL SENTINEL ON LINE, EACH MORNING, FROM LAS VEGAS, MY RETIREMENT HOME, AND RESPOND ACCORDINGLY.

Sincere condolences to the Michalski family. We've known Mike since he was in kindergarten at Washington school. He was part of our St. Joe's "Sandlot Crew." Always cracking jokes and smiling, always positive, and always willing to help with anything--he was definitely one of the good guys.

I worked with Mike from 1992-1999 at Southridge. I worked at Boston Store LP. Mike was one of the best in the business. Mike was a pillar to Sears and to the mall. He was always helping others and was so passionate about his work. He will be greatly missed. I'm comforted that he is now sitting with the Lord. Praying for his family and loved ones.

This loss is so very sad...
I remember when Mike first started on the job...I booked his prisoners for him for years, when I worked for the MPD in the City Jail as a booking clerk. It is comforting to know that Mike was a devout Christian with a strong faith. While we are grieving here on Earth, Mike is experiencing unimaginable joy with God in Heaven. My beloved mother, who had an unwavering faith, told me shortly before she died that Heaven would be "the greatest thing ever!" Remember to believe that. I wish I could express my sympathy in person and attend the visitation and funeral, but am currently hospitalized and therefore cannot. (Otherwise, I would definitely have been there for you.) We will see Mike again someday. Until then, please stay strong and keep the faith. Wishing Mike's family, friends and co-workers love and peace. He was truly one of "Milwaukee's Finest."
