Dear Mark, Jean, Curt, Julie and Janet,
I was saddened to learn today of the passing of Roger. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. I trust you take solace in the many wonderful memories you must have of your father. I know he was a special person to many people. I still remember fondly the many early mornings Roger drove Mark and me to Marquette High in his white convertible (Cadillac?) on his way to work.

Dear Paulsen Family and Friends,
I know I speak for my sister, Lynne, and my dad, Bob, when I say we are so saddened to hear of Roger's death. I have so many memories of him and all of his family members at various times of his life. I remember a sly grin and twinkle in his eye and a great sense of humor. He was a very good friend to all of us, especially to my mother, Diana. I only recently learned of Mary's death, as well, and my heart goes out to all of you for their cumulative loss. It's nice to think of the three of them together reminiscing and laughing it up in heaven. You all are in my prayers for peace and comfort.

Roger was like a father to me. He was always willing to offer advice and lend a hand or a hug, or just listen -- someting he was very good at. I loved him very much and I will miss him even more. I will especially miss his tomatoes this summer, and watching him tend to his garden. I will also miss how he used to talk about what he cooked himself for breakfast, and how regimented he was about his daily breakfast menu. Blueberry pancakes were one of his favorites, and he was very proud of himself for learning how to cook. There is an ache in my heart today, but I will always remember his kindness and love, and most of all, his beautiful smile. XOX RP. I love you.

Good Bye Roger, you will be missed. We will fondly remember your kind willingness to help those who sought your advice, your quiet courage and resolve in the face of the health difficulties you met with such grace and dignity and your understated humor. Godspeed, rest easy, you've earned it.

We wanted to express our deepest sympathy to Bobbie and the entire Paulsen family. After my fathers passing Roger became a surrogate father to me. He was aways there when we needed him, always with a kind heart. He was my calm in any storm. We will deeply miss him. Roger told me once that my father ruined his golf game. When I asked why he said " after Jimmy died he just didn't feel like golfing anymore" Well Roger, Dad is waiting for you and has a tee time set. Love you always, Barbara Brehm Rose, Rusty Rose & Jessica, Jimmy and Kathryn
