Roy Holly Obituary

Of Waupaca and formerly Mequon. Fri., Nov. 4, 2005, age 86. Beloved husband of Cynthia (nee Phillips). Dear father of Phil (Polly) Holly, Carol (Alvin Handelman) Holly and Hugh (Celeste) Holly. Special father-in-law of Karen Holly. Grandfather of Sarah and Nathan (Heidi) Holly, Matt Handelman, T.J., Anna, Rachel and Jacob Holly, Missy (Chan) Hansen and Jeff (Paula) Berg. Great-grandfather of Nicholas, Levi and Brady Holly, Jack and Sam Hansen. Brother of Ruth Fortnum, Austin (Lynette) Holly, Tom (Mary) Holly and the late Frances (Al) Ovrum. Also loved by nieces, nephews and many dear friends around the U.S., especially Milwaukee, Mequon, Waupaca and Long Lake-Washara County.

A Gathering of relatives and friends will be held at A.J. Holly & Sons Funeral Home, 526 S. Main St., Waupaca, WI on Sat., Nov. 26 at 12 noon with a Memorial Service at 1 PM. Refreshments and sharing to follow at the Holly History Center.

Dr. Holly was the chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Wisconsin Mt. Sinai Campus and Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin. Memorials appreciated to the Waupaca Historical Society or Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin.
