The Lofton Family,

Oh, my goodness, Danni, we just found out about James. Robert and James were buddies while he was at the Naval Postgraduate School. We had not heard from him in a while and wondered what he was up too. He loved you and his daughters, always fussing about them spending money. This is such a void I know in your life with him gone. Please email me at [email protected] with your phone number. We would like to call you.

Dear Family,

I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I worked with him at Treasure Island and really enjoyed his great sense of humor and the fact that he unselfishly extended his firefighting knowledge to other. He was very easy to get along with was great with the "troops". God bless.

HI Danita and Tiana
We want you to know that in your hour of sorrow that Earth truly has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. We want you to know that you are in our prayers and we will always remeber James for his attention and affection for our parents, especially our father. Papa had an immense respect for James, whom he called a man's man who took care of his responsibilities and his family and forged a relationship with Christ and God. We are going to miss his smile, his ready laughter, his pragmatic approch to life, and the quiet way he anticipated many of Cooper's needs and responded without hesitation or being asked. Though I know that you will miss him, be comforted by the fact that he is in the bosom of Abraham eagerly waiting for that great clap of thunder where the dead and Christ will rise and those who remain will be changed in the twinkling of an eye.

James,
You know how much Elijah and I love you! There is one thing that was apparent - you are very loved by all!!! Your family was by your side nearly around the clock, knowing you took such good care of them over the years. You kept your sense of humor, your dignity and your smile even though we knew you were in pain. You handled this with such grace and courage everyone who encountered you walked away with something. I know that your faith guided you during this difficult time and will carry us through the times to come. We love you and you will always be in our hearts.
