Ken was nicknamed "Birdman" by my Big Brothers young friend Brandon. A fitting description to a man who loved so may winged creatures!

So sorry to read of Kenny's passing. We first met in the late 1970's at a place called Dukes Diamonds. Kenny loved playing competitive softball as much as I did. He was always a worthy opponent. Then, occasionally, we would end up on the same team, which was a joy....He knew how to play the game.
After softball, I would see him on television now and then, rescuing an animal. It was nice to see he found his calling.
Thoughts and Prayers to his family and friends. We'll see him again soon.
God's Blessings to all.

I met Ken years ago when visiting his facility with my Big Brothers Big Sisters match, Brandon. Ken's facility and tour were outstanding, and his passion for raptor rehabilitation knew no bounds. I will always remember that day. RIP my friend and may you now soar higher than the eagles you saved.

I met Ken Lockwood 1st a Tanginika Park in Goddard, Ks as I was a school bus driver for USD 268 Cheney on a field trip there. Then when he opened Eagle Raptor continued to take field trips for Cheney school district. Ken was super talented with the Eagles especially. He will be missed a lot. Condolences to his family. Remember the good times with Ken. There is no one like him! Praying for you all during this difficult time.
