N. Dean Eckhoff

Eckhoff, N. Dean passed away on September, 3, 2015, at the age of 77. Born on April 10, 1938, in Meade, KS. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Nora (Feldman) and Martin Eckhoff; three brothers, Raymond (Pete) Eckhoff, C.L. (Hap) Eckhoff, H. Leonard Eckhoff; sister, Elsie Kane; and first daughter, Nisa Dawn Eckhoff. He is survived by his wife, Eulonda (Beck) Eckhoff; his son, Brad (Diane) Eckhoff; daughter, Cindi (Richard) Chase; his children's mother (first wife, Norma A. (Cochran) Eckhoff); and his grandchildren, Dean and Natalie Eckhoff. N. Dean Eckhoff spent his professional career at Kansas State University on the Nuclear Engineering faculty. He was department head for over the last twenty years of his career. He raised his family in Manhattan, KS. He and his current wife moved to Wichita to retire. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, at St John Lutheran Church, Meade, KS. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Meade, KS. In lieu of flowers, the N. Dean Eckhoff Educational Scholarship Fund has been established through Meade High School in Meade, KS, 67864.
