Archie L. Nesbitt

USAF-RET. Lt. Col. Archie L. Nesbitt, USAF-Ret., Overland Park, KS died August 18, 2007 at the home. He was born in Kansas City, Mo., and was a lifelong resident. Colonel Nesbitt, who served in the Air Force for 25 years, retired in 1967. He was a veteran of World War II, Korean, and Vietnam Wars. He was a Charter member of the American Air Museum of Great Britain, a member of the 8th Air Force Historical Society, and the Military Officers Association. He was a member of the Country Club Christian Church and the Tri-Cs class. He was also a member of Brookridge Country Club. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Kenton Nesbitt, in 1985. Survivors include his wife Nadyne McCormick Nesbitt of the home; three sons, John D. & June, Gainesville, GA., Paul D. & BJ, Lutz, FL., Keith & Kathy, Overland Park; three step-sons, Michael & Linda, Greenwood, Mo., Barry & Jamie, Bucyrus, Ks., Scott & Billie, Overland Park, eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel on Wednesday, August 22nd at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1-2 p.m. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
