I was very sorry to hear of Deanna's passing. I knew her from some time she spent at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church. She attended one of our Presbyterian Women's circles and was active in some other activities. She was a unique individual. I know she missed First Pres KCK but found a great church home at Southminster.

Deanna and I were in orchestra together in high school. We had some really fun times. I regret that I'm unable to attend her service. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Deanna was the kindest person I know. I always remember laughing with her in Jr High and High School. I was so happy when we reconnected via Facebook many many years ago. We were able to hang out a few times, and I am forever grateful for those times spent together. We chatted frequently via Facebook posts and weekly if not daily via private messages! I feel so honored she knew she could be happy, sad, stressed, vent to me, or just be a friend. I will miss her more than I thought possible! We all tend to take things for granted, and I know I took her friendship for granted, like I knew she would always be there for me! She was put on this earth to help us all become better people! The tears fall as I want to just talk one more time about our Jayhawks with her! I know I am a better person as Deanna chose me to be her friend. I send prayers to the family because if I miss her this much I can only imagine their sorrow! Thanks Deanna for making my life just a little sweeter and happier! Til we meet again! Love you girlie!!
