I knew Geoff because Dianne was one of my closest friends. Even before I met him, I suspected he was special, because whenever He called Di at work, her voice lit up. "Hello Love," she would say, a world of meaning in those two words. Over the years, my husband and I spent time with Di and Geoff, and I knew he was brilliant, interesting, and accomplished, but it was when Di's medical problems caught up with her that we witnessed Geoff's depth of character. He was her rock, her advocate, and, most of all, her compassionate caregiver. It's a gift to know that love like theirs exists in our world. I send condolences to Pete, Mark, Gillian, John, their spouses, and all the grandchildren. Whatever life throws at you, may you carry, as a talisman, the knowledge of your parents' deep, deep love for you.
