JOHN BRUMLEY Obituary

John Brumley Jr., 86, of Shawnee, KS, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Shawnee Gardens Nursing Center. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 17, at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 9101 Lamar Avenue, Overland Park, KS 66207. Burial in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. Friends may call 10-11:00 AM Friday at the church. John was born April 5, 1925, in Kansas City, KS. He was a commercial artist who was self employed, he specialized in photo retouching. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific Theatre with the United States Army. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by a brother Leo Brumley and a sister Nancy Weik. John is survived by his wife of 59 years, Inez Mae Brumley, 4 children; Michael John Brumley, Shawnee, KS, Gary Allen (Cathy) Brumley, Shawnee, KS, Stephanie Mae Brumley, Shawnee, KS, Kevin Scott (Lynda) Brumley, Overland Park, KS, 3 granddaughters Hannah, Sarah, Rebekah, brother Gerald (Marlene) Brumley, Independence, MO, and a sister Shirley (Edwin) Stevens, Overland Park, KS.
