John was a dear friend of my parents, Ivan and Anita, for many years. During my hospitalization several years ago, John was in the room next to mine, and we made it a point to eat a least one meal a day together. I will never forget the chicken buffet in Columbia, during a dog show one year, with my mom. He will be missed.

John and I shared a very close friendship, talking weekly on the phone with family and show news. His family ( Misty and the 'gang') was my family also, as my Joey was Misty's Dad. I had spoken to John the evening before, being 'fussed at' for sending him fudge and assorted goodies for the guys for Christmas, which he promised to spread among his Kansas City friends during the Holidays. I will miss him so very much, but am greatful to have been blessed with his love and close friendship for so many years. I know he is walking with Joy, Joey and the kids who have gone before through the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge and watching from above.
Bless you John.

John Riley was a wonderful man who bred some great boston terriers. His love for his dogs was beyond compare. I have two bostons bred by John, Holly (Misty's sister) and Lee, one of the most beautifull bostons ever born and I thank John for all the love and joy these two girls bring to my life every day. John was a true friend of the boston terrier breed and will be missed greatly. Rest in Peace my friend.

Mr. Riley was an old friend of our family. We always called him "Mr." Riley, because we were just children when we first met him. I could say he was our customer at El Sombrero, but like I said he was an old friend and more like family to us. He remembered things that happened way back when and enjoyed talking about those days. He also kept us up on his babies, and would often come by for a quick bite after traveling to Sedalia or some other place close for competition. He knows my 2 sons and always asked about my mom. He became a friend to all of the waitresses who have worked for us. He even stopped by the kitchen window to tell everyone back there how good the food was. I took his picture on the Saturday before Christmas and he brought me a box of candy and picked up the homemade Christmas card that had been waiting for him. He had been in the restaurant on the Saturday before his accident. We will always remember those precious momemts we had. I will miss Mr. Riley, and I will never forget him.

John and I worked many years together at the Fairfax GM Plant. We always enjoyed having a joke or two. May his Soul rest in Peace !
