Dr. Jensen was my first real mentor in science. I worked on a science project under his advisement at KU Med when I was in high school. He opened many doors for me. He was the epitome of a gentleman and a scholar.

Dr. Jensen was my Sunday School teacher at Overland Park Lutheran in about 1964. We had just moved to the area, and his caring way helped in the transition to a new church. He will be fondly remembered.

When we were young and Uncle Tork came to visit, we would collect lake and pond water and he would show us the small creatures under a microscope and tell us about them. It was such a great thing to have a knowledgeable and patient uncle! I will miss him!

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Jensen. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.

We had such good times when we were children and Uncle Tork and Aunt Lorraine came to visit. I especially remember fishing for sunnies and big family dinners. Uncle Tork was an intelligent, kind man with a great sense of humor.
