It's 4 years today daddy that you went to heaven. My heart aches but you soothe it as you grace this child of yours with your presence. You are my hero, the wind beneath my wings. (thanks for sending me that song, our song) . I love you my hero, Cindy

To the Weller family we are sorry for your loss. Mr. Weller coached for so many years at St. Anthony's, he gave so much of his time to coach so many of us. I was fortunate to have played for Coach , as so many were. I have so many great stories, in football coach calling "the bomb", lining up to punt but never kicking, but my favorite is during a close basketball game. We broke the huddle after a timeout and he called me back. Coach looked at me, and with that Coach Weller smile and chuckle, he told me "Freddie it would be nice if you could make a free throw", since I had missed 4 in a row just before the timeout. It is just one example of his style, he was so cool during a game, and made you feel so relaxed playing for him, such a great coach.

I am sorry to hear of Coach Weller's passing. I played on the last football team that he coached at St.Anthony's. He was such a fantastic man. Even when you did something wrong he made you feel good about yourself. Always nice to see Coach Weller at St.Anthony's for mass. It was nice to know he remembered who I was.

Dear Weller Family, Jane and I are sorry to hear about the passing of Coach Weller. He was the best coach I ever had. He taught us well but made the learning fun. Who else though of making you pick daisies on Northrup Park's hill for not hitting hard enough in practice - Genius! From J.R. Moehringer, The Tender Bar
“People just don't understand how many men it takes to build one good man. Next time you're in Manhattan and you see one of those mighty skyscrapers going up, pay attention to how many men are engaged in the enterprise. It takes just as many men to build a sturdy man, son, as it does to build a tower.”
Thanks for helping build us into men.
We'll miss you Coach!

I will always remember at a St. Anthony' basketball practice when he was coaching us on jump shots. I let one fly from too far out and it missed the hoop by a good three feet, where coach caught it way before it hit the floor. Instead of yelling at me, he simply said "Nice pass, Collins" and let it go at that. Almost 6o years ago and I will always remember him for his humor and generosity, as will a large part of the Collins family.

Vern was a stellar guy! He had the perfect dry humor that occasionally hooked me, and then he would chuckle when I finally "got it". He always wore a suit and tie when calling on customers, and they were all so loyal to him. He was honest and had the most integrity. He will be sorely missed. I hope all the wonderful memories will help Dorothy & the family in the days ahead. I know there were many great ones! Save a seat at the table for the rest of us, Vern.

To the Weller Family. Sorry for your lose. Your Dad was a great guy and the Weller's were always fun and friendly
to be with when I lived down the street many years ago. Thanks for all the rides to school and just being magnanimous
in many ways.

Dorothy, Debbie, Cindy, Vernie, and Tom,
I was so sorry to see that Vern had passed away. He always had a twinkle in his eye and was ever ready to tease!! I fondly remember the many times I had dinner at your house. One of those times, he said to me, “Sheila, what’s the capital of Kansas, Wichita or Wichitu?” I sat for a few minutes as I watched him grin. I said, “It’s Topeka”, with apprehension in my voice. He laughed at my uncertainty!! He was one-of-a-kind, and I know he will be greatly missed. God bless you all.
