Josie Jensen Obituary
A funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island.
Interment will follow at Grand Island Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5-6 p.m. Monday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church followed by a 6 p.m. Vigil/Prayer Service.
O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney is in charge of arrangements.

Josephine was born March 22, 1936, in Grand Island to Rosalio and Maria (Aguilara) Briseno. She was raised in Grand Island and attended Grand Island Senior High School, graduating with the class of 1954. Josie then attended Reese's School of Beauty and later owned and operated the Village and Wig Salon in Juniata and Touch of Class Salon in Kearney. Josie also worked for Coleman Power mate for 15 years and the call center at Cabela's of 26 years.
Josie enjoyed traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Maria (Richard) Gregg of Kearney, Bryan Jensen of Kearney and Adam (Colleen) Jensen of Columbus; grandchildren, Josephine, Elissa, Isabella, Nick and Jacob; siblings, John (Lola) Briseno of Grand Island, Robert (Juanita) Briseno of Wood River, Mary (Lonnie) Dinneen of Omaha; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Josie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brother-in-law, Rudy (Audrey) Briseno, Rosalio Briseno, Jr., Thomas (Melva Rae) Briseno; sisters and a special uncle, Sheila Briseno and Francis (Leonard) Gembica and sister, Juanita Briseno.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
