Frances Williams Obituary
1932 - 2013
Frances Raith Williams, 81, of Somers, formerly of Florida, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Frances was born on July 2, 1932, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late Walter and Cecelia (Hanelt) Baker. Frances was educated in the schools of Chicago. Frances married Frank W. Raith on Sept. 1, 1951 in Chicago, until his passing on Jan. 23, 1993, Frances remarried Jerry Williams on Jan. 26, 1996, in Florida, until he passed away. Frances loved raising her family in Paddock Lake where they lived for over 35 years. Frances was a member of Ruskin United Methodist Church of Florida. Frances was band/chorus director of the Ruskin, Fla., Hula Kats, a group that played music and sang at area nursing homes and other venues. Frances was also involved in the Red Hats and Ladies of the Moose. Her hobbies included music, playing cards, swimming, going to concerts, especially IL Divo, and Frances loved to dance, even taking Salsa lessons in May. Frances lived by the motto, If youre not having a good time, its your own fault.
Survivors include her children, Jeanie (Randy) LeClaire of Kenosha, Joseph (Cheryl) Raith of Palm Harbor, Fla., Steven (Evonne) Raith of Somers, Lori (Andy Bobowski) Andreucci of Somers, Michael (Sandy Walsh) Raith of Libertyville, Ill.; grandchildren, Mike Lindstrom, Lacy Lindstrom, Jeff Lindstrom, Rebecca Raith, Steven Raith, Adam Raith, Miranda (Frankie Parise) Raith, Madison Raith; a great grandson, Julian; many nieces & nephews; and special friends, Dorbal Paredes, Margaret Ward, and Paul Osborn. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Raith & Jerry Williams, a son, Michael Frank Raith, brothers, Vernon and Walter Gene Baker, sisters, Marion Smith and Betty Cologna.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at the Kenosha Country Club from 5-6 p.m. with memorial services to follow at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Mary & Martha House, P.O. Box 1251, Ruskin, FL 33575, would be appreciated.
