April 10, 1931 - October 24, 2025

KENOSHA - Jack Ogren, 94 of Kenosha, passed away on Oct. 24, 2025, with a short battle of lymphoma at Hospice Alliance, Pleasant Prairie surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born on April 10, 1931, in Kenosha, the son of the late Oscar and Catherine (Glockner) Ogren. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. Jack married Catherine Stroobosscher on November 19, 1955, in Waukegan, Ill. He served in the Air Force for 4 years starting in July 1949 to 1953 and was a Korean War veteran. His hobbies included cribbage, Yahtzee, bowling and softball. He was an avid sports fan and a fan of the Cubs, Bears, and Notre Dame football, but most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his children; Steve Ogren of Kenosha, Eddie (Debra) Ogren of Twin Lakes, Darryl (DaleAnn Weber) Ogren of Kenosha, and Sue Ogren of Kenosha; also included are his grandchildren Gina, Eddie, Michael, Denise, Jeff, Jason, and Mikey; and 5 great-grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Catherine (2023); his parents; sister, Helen; and his brother, Eddie.

Services for Jack will be held on Friday November 7th at Kenosha VFW, 6618 39th Ave., Kenosha, Wis. 53142. Visitation with the family will start at 3 p.m., with a memorial prayer service at 4 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the service.

I can still see him playing catch with his boys out in the street. Man he could throw a pitch, that ball would just whistle. Could not meet a nicer guy.
