Lexington, Kentucky - Elsie Marie Fraley, 93, of Lexington, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2023, surrounded by family. Elsie was born to Dock Burgess and Martha Rebecca Toler on October 2, 1929, in Logan County, West Virginia. She was the fifth of nine children. On June 26, 1948, she married James Franklin Hall. James and Elsie enjoyed a loving marriage for 32 years and spent most of those years in ministry with the Church of God (Anderson, IN) in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. She loved being a pastor's wife and was especially devoted to women's and children's ministries. James passed away in 1980. Elsie was blessed with a second great love when she married Henry M. Fraley, Jr. on November 19, 1983. Henry was also devoted to the Church of God and together they were active in churches in Lexington, Mt. Sterling, and Georgetown, Kentucky. Drawing upon their personal experiences, they started a statewide singles ministry. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband James, her son James Franklin Hall II, and seven brothers and sisters. Elsie is survived by her husband Henry, her sister Betty (Herman) Watts, her daughters Rebecca (Robert) New-Edson, Elizabeth Ann (Mitchell) Hall, Mary Hall, Delores (Harry) Tucker, and son Dennis Fraley, grandchildren Jennifer (David) Dominianni, Shannon (Brett) New-Spangler, Christopher (Angela) Johnson, James Franklin Hall III, Ashleigh (Jennifer) New, and Jillian (Tye) Boynton, step-grandchildren Melissa Bowman and Kristen Edson, and eleven great-grandchildren.Services will be held on Saturday, September 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eastland Church, 2598 Liberty Road, Lexington, KY. Visitation will take place from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. before the funeral. Interment will occur later that day at 3:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morehead, KY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children of Promise (https://www.childrenofpromise.global), a Christian organization whose mission Elsie was committed to.
