Jackie, I was so distressed that I didn't read the Sunday paper until Sunday night and was not able to attend the visitation for your dad. I am so sorry because I know he was a guiding force in your life and a supporter of everything you did. I remember being in your mom and dad's home for Court Days and they were so inviting to us. I enjoyed them and got to know you better through them. It makes no difference what the age or the medical condition, losing a parent is such a huge loss. I think of mine every day of my life. I'm thinking of you and your family during this time of transition.
Kara sends her condolences as well. Please let me hear from you as soon as you can. Love you.

Time has taken it's toll on a great friend. Mr. Miller was one of the few staff members at Williamsburg High that really believed in me. He gave me confidence and sadly all I gave him in return was gray hair. Rest in peace my friend.

“Hold fast to your memories, those special moments, the laughter, the joys, the celebrations, the tears. They all add up to the treasure of fond yesterdays that you and Mr. Miller shared in your life together. Nothing I can say will take the hurt away, the memories will always be there for you, the children, the grandchildren and those that met Mr. Miller along the way.”
(Nick Nicholson - 2005)

May the Lord thy God bless you in your sorrow.

Your dad was a wonderful man. We grew up with a fantastic role model in our lives at school. He was one of the most respected men I ever knew. We all have fond memories of him, as do you. These memories will be with you always and comfort you during this time. His life was long and full of joy. Knowing that will also sustain you. He is with your mother now and happier than we will ever know. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now.

Mr. Miller is safe in the arms of Jesus now and, though we mourn the loss of this wonderful man, we rejoice in that thought.
Family, know he influenced thousands of people, and all in a good way. We are better adults because we knew him as children. He showed us how to be the right kind of grown up. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
