Paul Barron BURRUS II

BURRUS Paul Barron II, 80, husband of Erma D. Bailey Burrus for 54 years, died Sat, March 12, 2011, at his residence. Born in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Paul Barron and Edna M. Lowry Burrus. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, he was a research Agronomist at UK, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, for 54 years. He was associated with Rosemont Baptist Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Besides his wife, he is survived by, his children, Paula D. (Herbert) Hinton and their children, Samantha (Billy) Aldridge and Rebecca Hinton, all of Lexington; Susan B. Patrick and her daughter, Sarah Patrick of Lexington; Paul (Michelle) Burrus, III and their son Joshua Burrus all of Owen Co.; and Richard A. Burrus and his son Zachary A. Burrus of Lexington; and a brother, David Burrus. He was preceded in death by a brother, James A. Burrus. Funeral services will be 2:30pm Tue, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by the Rev. Eddie Benton. Visitation will be 5-8pm today (Mon) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
