When I was in his eighth grade history class at Central, our class was selected to participate in an experimental "online" anthropology class taught by UK professors. So for a portion of each class we would watch the teacher on television and Mr Campbell would answer any questions we had. He was always willing to go outside the box to look for ways to enhance education.
Certainly his life had a positive influence on many.

I was a student of Mr. Campbell the first year he taught at Central. I remember his passion for history and totally enjoyed the section he taught on WWII. He really made it come alive. Then we divided up the class and one half made reports and exhibits on Alaska and the other made reports and exhibits on Hawaii as both had just become states.
I totally enjoyed him as a teacher. He was one of my favorites. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. We will see him again one day in heaven. I pray God will comfort you through this very trying time.
