Sarah Law was a Southern Christian Lady who was a faithful wife and loving mother. Her dedication and selfless work for the Methodist Homes of Kentucky made her an honorary mother to countless children needing someone to care. Sarah led inspite of a shyness that was concealed in needlepoint work and always making something for someone in the family. Watching living things grow and mature, gave her a respect for all living things. I will miss seeing her lead whether in United Methodist Women, community groups, or her Church work; but, knowing Mrs. Law she'll be seeing if there are any things that she can help with in heaven. Those who are loved are never lost. She will live on in many hearts and minds of the next generation of small-town America's leaders and saints.

I knew Sarah Law as Betsy's and Eleanor's mother and as an active member of United Methodist Women on the district and conference levels. She was unfailingly kind to me and always inquired about her old friends in Irvine where she grew up. In noting her avid interest in flowers, I remember attending a local garden club meeting at her mother's home in West Irvine with my minister's wife. Her mother was also a gardener of merit with a beautiful yard just right for children. I know that she supported Aldersgate Camp and hoped that young people would be drawn to Christ through experience with nature. I am saddened by her passing but happy that the Bible promises a new garden in the afterlife for all believers. She will be right at home in Heaven.
