Jackie & family, Dave's presence will be missed by many but his light will shine on forever. He shared cube space next to me for nearly 3 years... my fondest memory will be the laughter we shared with the Chipmunk 'happiness button' (that you bought him, Jackie)... if we had a bad day or moment, he / or we would hit the 'happy button'. He will be missed by all of us. My deepest sympathies to you and the family.

Jackie, Andy and Sara,

What a beautiful Eulogy you wrote. We lost a great man this week. Although he is in a better place now, he will always be missed by family and friends

I was so lucky to have been able to spend so much time with Dave our last years at ShopKo. The obituary was so descriptive of him. "Facing difficult situations with a level head, calmness and confidence; providing support and encouragement to others." He went out of his way to help me and others in so many ways. I will always remember that smile and contagious laugh of his that brought us all back to reality. He always seemed to know the right things to say at the right time. Everyone looked up to him.

It was evident that he loved his family very much. He was always willing to share and swap family stories (often humorous) about what the Doperalski's were up to. Loved to talk about his gardening projects, what the kids were up to and his family vacations. He was truly a remarkable man that I feel blessed to have known. He was one of a kind.

May God bless all of you

Jackie, Andrew and Sara,
This is so hard to believe. Our prayers go out to the three of you. I had so much respect for Dave. He always had such a calming affect on people. His smile, kindness and humor were always genuine. It was great having him as a manager. He never over reacted and with very little effort he restored a sense of calmness to those that worked for him. He will truly be missed by all of us.
