Among all the special things we can remember about Brother Harvey, he was a Barnabas (an encourager) a Pastor's friend. We will truly miss his smiling face at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church on our visits to East Tenn.

He was a special cousin to me. We celebrated the same anniversary date. I will miss seeing him in the store. His laughter and all the funny jokes he always had to tell. He had a great capacity to make people laugh.
Will keep the family in my prayer.

Buster,
Your father was a man who will be remembered fondly. I will always remeber him from back in the sixties when I would visit the Owens family in Oliver Springs. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Mr Harvey was one of the nicest men we knew. He was like Santa Claus, he loved everyone, rich or poor. We will miss him very much.

Uncle Sonny did more to teach me about our faith than I can possibly explain. He was a rock to my family, and a unswerving source of strength. There are none like him likely to come along for a long time to come.

Claudia, Donna, John & Buster, So sorry to hear about the passing of your father. He was a well respected and loved man to everyone who knew him. Never heard anything negative about him. My mother has so many nice memories of being in the class of '48 with him and your mom. If she needed a new mattress, she just called him and told him to bring her one. She trusted his judgement, knew he would always be fair and honest. He will be missed in OS.
