Patsy, I am just heartbroken over John's passing. What a treasure he was! Never did he fail to have a story about something that happened when he and my parents were young. I always enjoyed sharing memories of Dyersburg with him and it was nice to know that I had a little piece of the old hometown with you and John here in Knoxville.

Chuck was just saying a few days ago how much he enjoyed getting to know John that night we had dinner and through SAR and SCV. He was a fine man, Patsy, and we both feel very fortunate to know both him and you.

Chuck and I are so sorry for your loss. Take care and I'll talk to you soon.
