Lucinda Creech Hansard

HANSARD, LUCINDA CREECH - age 96, of Powell, Tennessee passed away June 4, 2011 at Holston Health Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fountain City. Mrs. Hansard, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, was a first-grade school teacher in the Knox County School System for over thirty years. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Hobart B. Hansard, Jr. Mrs. Hansard was the last surviving child of William and Euphemia Susan Horn Creech of Loyall, Kentucky. Her sisters were Verda Asher, Callie Miniard, Hannah "Gussie" Creech, and Stella Kerlin. Her brothers were Roy, Bart, Fred, Bish, Mark, and Bill Creech. Mrs. Hansard is survived by her two children and their spouses, Hobart and Audrey Hansard and Susan and Robert Fink. She was the grandmother of seven: Malinda Sedivec, Blake Hansard, Todd Williams, Ryan Williams, Leanne Wilburn, Lucinda Scrivener, and Tom Fink. She was the great-grandmother of twelve. The family would like to thank all the volunteers and employees at Holston Health Center who treated her with respect and kindness. We are especially thankful for the dear friends who have sustained mother during her final years. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Lynnhurst Cemetery in the Fountain City area of Knoxville, Tennessee.
