Michael Hardy Roach, age 56, of Oak Ridge passed away Sunday September 20, 2015 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Michael was born May 1, 1959 in Knoxville, TN to the late Douglas and Frankie Rosenbaum Roach. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge, and a 1977 graduate of Oak Ridge High School where he enjoyed playing football. Michael was an avid Oak Ridge High School football fan and loved attending games and spending time with his old team mates. He was a member of the Oak Ridge Moose Lodge and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Michael is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jody Walters Roach, of Oak Ridge; two sons, Robert Douglas Roach, his wife, Laura, and their two children, Janae and Zavion, of Oak Ridge, and Jeremy Allan Roach, of Oak Ridge; and his brother, Charles Roach and his wife, Donna, of Oak Ridge.

A memorial service will be held Saturday September 26, 2015 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Wayne Walker officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1900 Richmond Rd. Lexington, KY 40502-1204.
