Minnie Cross, age 96, of Jacksboro went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 22, 2016. She was a lifelong member of Caryville First Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by husband, Arvel (Darb) Cross; son, Paul Edward Cross; parents, Will and Lou Ledford. Survivors: daughter: Wanda (John J Dower); sons: Donald Ray Cross (Margaret), Jerry Cross (Brenda), Jackie Cross (Jeannie), Greg Cross (Rhonda); daughter in law: Gayle Cross; grandchildren: Tammy Dykes, Donnie Cross, Meredith Cross, Suzanne Boshears, J.J. Dower, Jann Dower, Saprina Williams, Shaun Cross, Tyler Cross, Emily James, Eli Cross, Jimmy Thacker, Angie Kirkland; great-grandchildren: Jordan Cross, Amanda Dykes, Kendall Cross, Shelby Baird, Kelsey Morris, Loren Humphrey, Lacey Boshears, Addison Russell, Alissa Miracle, Skylar Williams, Shaylan Williams, J.R. Cross, Knox Cross, Taylor Kirkland; great great-grandchild: Drew Humphrey; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral service 2:00 PM Monday Caryville First Baptist Church, Dr. T. D. Hooker officiating. Interment Campbell Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: J.J. Dower, Donnie Cross, Jordan Cross, Shaun Cross, Skylar Williams, Tyler Cross and Eli Cross. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Caryville First Baptist Church Faye Harness Circle, P.O. Box 157 Caryville, TN 37714.
Family will receive friends 12 Noon to 2:00 PM Monday Caryville First Baptist Church. Condolences may be given online at www.cross-smithfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by Cross-Smith Funeral Home.

Our deepest sympathy in your loss of Aunt Minnie. I have fond memories of her and Uncle Darb even though it had been years since we had seen them. I loved their zeal for life and hospitality. Mom (Barbara Smith) is saddened as she has such fond memories and wished she could have made it from Ohio to the funeral. Blessings to all and you will be in our prayers.
